Foundations & Concrete Slabs

Grosvenor Buildings and Landscapes have the necessary experience, technical knowledge and skills to construct an extensive range of foundations (aka footings) and concrete slabs for use in a wide range of applications. Examples of the works we have completed are as follows:

Where conditions are not appropriate for the use of a conventional foundation, Grosvenor Buildings and Landscapes also have the experience of installing screw piles and constructing reinforced concrete or steel ground-beams off of which the house / extension or any other structure can be built. Where circumstances dictate, the use of screw piles is a cost effective answer to problematic sites.

An alternative method of constructing a floor slab is known as a Beam and Block floor. This is where a series of reinforced concrete beams are used to support 100mm deep concrete blocks creating a suspended floor.
