Garden Structures

Grosvenor landscapes either have built or are able to build a huge range of garden buildings and structures. These would include decking, where we have used imported hardwood for its durability and colour or composites (resin and wood fibre mixed) for durability and even simple treated softwood but using large plank sizes, which give a more solid appearance and allow more dramatic curves to be formed as the large section timber permits greater overhang from the sub-frame. A wide choice of hand rail is available to compliment these decks, from simple timber to glass and stainless steel. Raised beds and timber retaining walls, pergolas, palisades, lych gates and even fences can contain slopes and create vertical interest in flat sites.

Our buildings have been predominantly timber framed and built for a huge variety of purposes and in a variety of designs. We have built; pool houses, tree houses, lych gates, games rooms, gyms, home offices, storage rooms, workshops, timber framed fully glazed porches and conservatories, structures built in front of retaining walls, summerhouses and garages. Some of the structures had insulation in the floor, ceilings and walls, some have had underfloor heating and solar panels. Built of brick, stone or timber or a mixture, built to match houses and of local vernacular style, some have been fully glazed within timber frames and one partially subterranean. We have roofed these structures in most materials; slate, tile, stone, felt, rigid corrugated sheets, cedar shingle, grp and even green roofs. We have built structures for the National Trust and the RSPCA. Where an existing product exists, such as aluminium greenhouses, we have negotiated a partnership deal whereby you get the ‘state of the art’ greenhouse sitting on the base construction built by ourselves. Similarly with summerhouses, if your requirement is an octagonal structure in cedar, Crown Pavillions will build their timber structure on our base and where applicable, surrounded by other landscaping also by us. You get the best of all worlds in a seamless project.

Our home offices are normally but not exclusively bespoke, if required, they are built to current building regulations and by default therefore insulated, structurally correct and with sealed weatherproof doors and windows.

The joinery for these is subcontracted to a specialist joinery firm or upvc supplier if so specified. We have built them as simple offices or more as ‘granny annexes’ with toilets and showers, mezzanine floors and kitchens. Lots of techniques are employed to give the look of authenticity whilst benefitting from modern facilities and technology.

We have also added to, converted and refurbished a range of buildings, adding cat slide roofs, log stores, garden equipment stores etc. We regularly take on complete developments for a couple of developers and are therefore conversant with the constraints of building regulations, the sustainable housing regulations, sustainable drainage regulations and plumbing and electrical regulation. Our in house team can deal with most issues, where we cannot, we have a network of specialist sub-contractors to complete the package, again in a seamless manner to the customer.
